About the cats

For many years there has been an unrelated family of cats living at the harbour in Caleta, many of these cats have been there many years and are known to many return visitors, who visit them whilst on the island.

For over a decade (possibly two) Muriel has coordinated the wellbeing of the cats whilst having a shop at the location. Now that muriel is no longer a business owner on site we rely on a growing group of volunteers to maintain the cat cafes and monitor the health and population, Muriel still visits every week and is still a major force in the cats welfare.

If you would like to assist the existing volunteers even if just a couple of hours a week you would be made very welcome.

We now have a facebook page of the same name, we post pictures and videos of the cats at feeding time, and other eventfull events.
